Corporate News | Exploring the Path of Development in the New Industry Ecology, Futong Attends the Annual China IDC Industry Ceremony

On January 7th-9th, 2015, the 9th China IDC Industry Annual Ceremony (IDCC) was officially held at the National Convention Center. At the invitation of the conference organizers, Futong attended as a guest. As the largest and most concerned annual event in China's data center industry, this conference, themed "Great Change, New Ecology," attracted thousands of attendees, including government leaders, domestic and international industry elites, technology vendors, service providers, and media representatives. The conference provided a comprehensive review and summary of the development of China's IDC industry in 2014 and discussed the data center in the era of cloud computing as the main topic, conducting an in-depth and comprehensive interpretation and discussion on cloud computing 2.0 era, cloud architecture, construction and management of cloud data centers, and the path of China's IDC cloudification.

“Great Change, New Ecology”

In recent years, with the continuous increase in user demand for internet applications, the IDC industry has maintained an annual growth rate of 20%. However, amidst this vigorous development, the traditional IDC industry has also shown a trend of indiscriminate growth, with issues such as blind investment in IDC projects, lack of detailed analysis of customer needs, low resource utilization, and high costs emerging accordingly.

The rise of mobile internet has simultaneously triggered an explosive growth in big data, from which cloud computing has emerged. With the rapid development of cloud computing, high-efficiency, low-energy green data center solutions have begun to become the new favorites in the industry, and the advantages of cloud services such as cloud hosts and cloud storage in terms of elastic payment, high availability, and rapid deployment have gradually been reflected. Under this situation, the cloudification of IDC has become an inevitable trend. Traditional data center design, IT architecture design, and service design urgently need to change, and all these transformative developments have promoted the formation of a new ecology in the development of China's IDC industry.

Futong Solution Data Center - E-lab

Futong has been engaged in the IT industry for 20 years, accumulating rich industry experience and strong technical capabilities, always keeping pace with industry development trends and continuously enhancing its technological innovation and R&D capabilities. In 2014, based on optimizing its own infrastructure construction and carefully analyzing customer needs, Futong officially established its own solution data center—E-lab. E-lab is a data center platform built by Futong for customers and partners that allows for on-demand modeling. It features strong computing power and storage space capable of simulating actual environments, as well as robust backend technical support capabilities. Futong's customers and partners can customize testing and development environments through E-lab's IaaS and PaaS cloud environments according to their own needs, thereby tailor-making the best solutions. In addition, E-lab can also undertake technical exchange and training services, greatly avoiding the waste of resources caused by the imbalance of supply and demand.

Conclusion

The new ecological environment fostered by great changes has further solidified Futong's people-oriented approach to building modern data centers based on user needs. Futong will take this industry summit as an opportunity to continue optimizing its product structure on the existing foundation, and face the challenges of the cloud computing era with a more open and confident attitude. At the same time, it will continuously enhance its solution service capabilities, aiming to provide customers with more refined value-added service solutions, and offer customers more valuable data center services.
