With the advent of the multi-cloud era, multi-cloud deployment of IT infrastructure has become the new normal for enterprises. In order to fully unleash the productivity of the cloud and achieve agile IT response to business needs, while addressing the issues brought about by multi-cloud complexity, simplifying operational processes, and managing the use and expenditure of cloud resources effectively, multi-cloud management platforms have gradually become a necessary tool platform for enterprise IT.

Against this backdrop, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology took the lead in initiating the compilation of the "Multi-Cloud Management Platform White Paper." The white paper first introduces the background of the emergence of multi-cloud management platforms, providing an overview from aspects such as definition, current status, major vendors and products, and application scenarios. It outlines the architectural framework and key capabilities of multi-cloud management platforms, and presents typical cases of enterprises adopting cloud management platforms in multi-cloud environments. Finally, it proposes the future development trends of multi-cloud management platforms.

During the compilation process of the white paper, Futong Cloud, drawing on its extensive practical experience in multi-cloud management services, discussed with industry experts and put forward relevant effective suggestions, contributing technical expertise to the writing of the white paper.

The white paper points out that multi-cloud management platforms primarily undertake the task of transforming multi-cloud and heterogeneous resources into cloud services, providing administrators with capabilities for control, operation, and maintenance, and offering users self-service capabilities. Its architectural framework includes resource adaptation modules, multi-cloud orchestration modules, cloud management modules, cloud operation modules, cloud maintenance modules, and portals. At the same time, a microservices architecture is used to register and govern the aforementioned modules, with each module having a certain degree of independence, facilitating upgrades, maintenance, and replacement.

In response to the complex situations faced by enterprises in hybrid and multi-cloud management during cloud adoption, Futong Cloud has launched a new version of its multi-cloud management platform, CMP2020-V1.0, at the beginning of the year. Developed based on a microservices architecture, it consists of five major stacks and is primarily designed to manage hybrid and multi-cloud services. It achieves unified management in multi-cloud environments, automates secure operations and maintenance, ensures cloud expenditures are under control, and rapidly completes the delivery of business services, thereby maximizing the efficiency of enterprise IT work and resource utilization, constructing a flexible computing platform, and ensuring the availability of enterprise business systems.

In recent years, with its accumulation and practice in the field of cloud computing, Futong Cloud has actively promoted industry technological innovation and the formulation of relevant standards. Currently, it has participated in the compilation of the Cloud MSP capability requirements standards by the CAICT, as well as the "Hybrid Cloud White Paper (2019)."

In the future, Futong Cloud will continue to delve deeply into the field of cloud management services, leveraging innovations and accumulations in technology, products, and the market to promote the standardized and regulated development of the cloud computing industry. It will truly help users enhance operational efficiency, achieve business innovation, and add value.
