The 2022 Winter Olympics marks the first time China has hosted the event, which has garnered significant international attention and influence. Medical support, as an essential component of public safety for the Olympics, plays a crucial role in the successful hosting of the Games. Project "Key Technologies for Smart Medical Support of the Winter Olympics," led by Beijing Tiantan Hospital affiliated with Capital Medical University and participated in by Beijing Futong Dongfang Technology Co., Ltd., has developed an integrated diagnosis and treatment system that includes an auxiliary diagnosis and treatment system for sports injuries, an intelligent expert recommendation system, and an emergency smart rescue platform based on 5G. These achievements have been implemented across 19 venues (12 competition venues and 7 non-competition venues) in the three major competition zones of the Beijing Winter Olympics, as well as covering the entire process from the "Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee - venues - ambulances (including helicopters)". Comprehensive medical support has been provided for more than 20 test events, one medical test drill, and all official competitions.
In the project, the Sports Injury Auxiliary Diagnostic and Treatment System and the Intelligent Expert Recommendation System developed by Futong Dongfang provided the best diagnostic and treatment information for medical support work at the first instance during the games, which was fully affirmed and recognized by the Sports Services Department of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympic Winter Games Organizing Committee.
The Integrated Diagnostic And Treatment System Based On 5G Makes Winter Olympics Medical Support Smarter And More Efficient
On February 7, 2022, during the men's 1000m short track speed skating semifinals, an athlete fell and was injured. On-site medical personnel used the integrated diagnostic and treatment system developed by the "Key Technologies for Smart Medical Support of the Winter Olympics" to transmit the situation to the Winter Olympics Organizing Committee's medical command center in real-time via the 5G wireless private network for auxiliary rescue dispatch, completing medical treatment within 15 seconds.

The system, based on 5G and public network trunked radio technologies, has achieved real-time sharing of voice, video, and other rescue information between the Winter Olympics Organizing Committee and various venues. By constructing a sports injury knowledge graph, it has enabled intelligent diagnosis of the type and severity of sports injuries. Subsequently, relying on its independently developed expert recommendation system, it provides precise recommendations for hospitals and departments within 0.5 seconds for patients with injuries and illnesses. The system has achieved comprehensive coverage of the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee, various competition venues, and ambulances (including helicopters). The Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee believes that the system responded quickly and reliably in the transmission of information during this medical treatment, playing a significant supportive role.

Sports Injury Assisted Diagnosis And Treatment and Intelligent Expert Recommendation Provide The Best Diagnostic And Treatment Information In The First Instance
As one of the key special projects of the National Key Research and Development Plan "Science and Technology Winter Olympics," "Key Technologies for Smart Medical Support of the Winter Olympics" targets scenarios such as medical information interconnectivity, intelligent auxiliary diagnosis and treatment of sports injuries, and integrated air-ground medical emergency rescue. It provides an emergency smart rescue platform and individual rescue equipment based on 5G, a sports injury auxiliary diagnostic and treatment system, an intelligent expert recommendation system, and a smart scheduling platform. The aim is to provide intelligent and efficient integrated medical support for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympic Winter Games with the power of artificial intelligence, big data, and other technological forces. The sports injury auxiliary diagnostic and treatment system developed by Futong Dongfang includes two parts: pre-hospital smart diagnosis based on knowledge graphs and in-hospital precise inference based on medical imaging. These two components complement each other to achieve intelligent auxiliary diagnosis and treatment for sports injuries in the context of the Winter Olympics medical scenarios. Based on the patient's symptoms, physical signs, and medical history, and utilizing a specialty knowledge graph for sports injuries (eyes, bones, internal organs), a multi-round dialogue approach is adopted to achieve intelligent diagnosis of sports injury diseases. Utilizing deep learning neural network models and evaluation criteria, precise diagnosis of sports injury diseases based on medical imaging for typical sports injuries in areas such as bones, joints, internal organs, and eyes is realized.

The Intelligent Expert Recommendation System is a database that covers hospital and expert information. It is an algorithm that performs multi-objective optimization based on on-site emergency conditions and patient medical conditions. At the same time, it recommends suitable hospitals and experts based on a comprehensive consideration of various dimensions such as time and space, providing the best diagnostic and treatment information for injured athletes in the first instance.
